Shenae Grimes (born October 24, 1989) is a Gemini Award winning Canadian actress. She currently plays the role of Darcy Edwards on Degrassi: The Next Generation. Grimes will be starring as Annie Wilson in the new 90210 spin off. She acted in a 2006 Coffee Crisp commercial. She was a recurring guest star on the Disney Channel series Naturally, Sadie as Arden Allcott. She is half Irish on her mother's side.
rimes has been cast as Marissa in True Confessions of a Hollywood Starlet and Cayenne in Picture This! along side Degrassi: The Next Generation co-star Lauren Collins which premiered on ABC Family, July 13, 2008.

Grimes will play Brenda Walsh Annie Mills, a theater-loving teen who relocates to Beverly Hills from Kansas with her adoptive bro and their parents — one of whom will be played by Lori Loughlin.


Recently, Shenae participated on a Christmas 7" record by the band Fucked Up entitled "David Christmas". The B-side song includes Shenae's voice along with musical stars and figures like Davey Havok, Scott Vogel, and Nelly Furtado. The record was released on December 15th., and included Grimes' holiday wish of "Merry fucking whatever!" to Toronto.
